Not in Tune with the Modern Age, eh?
Benedict XVI to "Abolish" Limbo
No surprise here: Ratzinger never did like Limbo
Reality Check:
Catholic Teaching on Limbo and Unbaptized Children vs. Ratzinger

Guess what: Gay is OK after ordination!
"Cardinal" Grocholewski: "Anti-Gay" Doc intended for candidates for the priesthood and not someone who "discovers his homosexuality after having been ordained"!
Oh, yes, then he has to live "chastely," but this is just more window-dressing. If the gay priest is OK as such and can live chastely, why not the gay seminarian? If homosexuality "gravely hinders them from relating correctly to men and women," what does it matter if this is before or after ordination? And will sexual "indiscretions" of this unnatural vice then be put on an equal level with heterosexual unchastity?

Perfect PR for Benedict XVI -- he looks conservative!
Novus Ordo Pastor resigns due to Rome's [supposed] "Aggressive Anti-Gay Positions"
Meanwhile: Canon Law Experts on "Anti-Gay" Doc's Authority
Does anyone honestly think this "anti-gay" doc will accomplish anything, or is more than a mere external attempt at damage control to keep the "conservatives" happy?

Is Benedict XVI "cracking down" on the Assisi Interfaith Meetings?
Reality Check: Probably not seriously!

WE HAVE BEEN WARNED:
For the modernists, the "chief stimulus of the evolution of worship consists in the need of accommodation to the manners and customs of peoples, as well as the need of availing itself of the value which certain acts have acquired by usage." --Pope St. Pius X, Encyclical Pascendi, par. 26, 1907

"No Rupture with the Past" Update:

Right...the enemies and heretics are now the traditional Catholics...

Setting the record straight:
Paul VI said Vatican II and the New Mass are binding on all Catholics!

So, if you think Paul VI was a real Pope, you have no choice, since the Pope has full jurisdiction over all the faithful in matters of faith and morals, as Vatican I teaches dogmatically.

"Bishop" Wenski of Orlando: "The Holy Quran"
By contrast, "Holy Mass" has become "Eucharistic celebration"!

Austrian Specialty Stamp for Archbishop Lefebvre?
Austrian SSPX Web Site makes FALSE CLAIMS about Lefebvre Stamp
An investigation by Novus Ordo Watch found that the Austrian postal service has not released a specialty stamp to honor Archbishop Lefebvre (as an SSPX site claims here). Rather, the stamp is a "do-it-yourself" personal stamp ("Meine.Marke" = "My Stamp"), which the Austrian postal service offers to anyone; that is, people can submit their own photo and text and get a valid Austrian stamp. So, it is not true that the Austrian postal service has released a specialty stamp to honor Lefebvre.

Ooops:
Ratzinger '82: 'Raze the Catholic Bastions!'

(Yes, when he published this in 1982, he was already the "lion of orthodoxy"
at the Congregation for the Destruction of the Faith)

No Surprise here:
Ratzinger's 2001 "Rehabilitation" of Fr. Antonio Rosmini
now used to clear way for Rosmini's "Beatification"!

Note: Fr. Rosmini's serious errors were condemned by the Church, and Rosmini retracted them (see Denzinger 1891ff., note 2)

New Lows for the New Mass

"John Paul the Great" Update

BANNED!
Novus Ordo Watch banned from AQ Forum after quoting SSPX admitting Schism with Rome

The "chop job" accusation is ridiculous. Read a scanned copy of the letter as it appears in SSPX literature (here: pp. 136, 137, 138). If you wish, you can politely protest the ban by emailing [email protected]
So what's the real reason for the ban? Simple: "Stop bothering us with the facts. We're SSPX adherents and want to remain that, so don't quote us SSPX literature that cherishes schism with Rome because we don't know how to respond to that."

Oh, that's nice:
Vatican "Profoundly Respects" Active Homosexuals

That's interesting, because God's "profound respect" for sodomites has its limits:
"Thou hatest all the workers of iniquity" (Psalm 5:6).
What's that about "incomplete adolescence"? Since when is homosexuality a part of adolescence?
This is interesting: "If a candidate practices homosexuality or present [sic] profoundly deep-rooted homosexual tendencies, his spiritual director, like his confessor, must dissuade him, in conscience, from proceeding towards Ordination." But what if the spiritual director is a homo himself?

The "Gay Ban" Document is out!
Read Story here --- Read full Text here

Looks "conservative" on the outside, but will accomplish virtually nothing (as was probably the intention)

But why all the excitement about this document? A 1961 Vatican document barred all homosexuals, yet was never enforced. What's different this time, other than allowing some homosexuals? The only thing surprising about this document is that it is only 5 pages long.

Benedict XVI condemns Reckless Driving
Yep, and the Catholic Church condemns Reckless Theology!
For instance, Pope St. Pius X said Modernism is "born of the union between faith and false philosophy." What philosophy did Vatican II use? Modern philosophy, as it was built on the New Theology, a synthesis of modern philosophy and Catholicism. What philosophy does Benedict XVI like? Existentialism! Quick reality check: Pope Pius XII condemned the "new erroneous philosophy which ... has assumed the name of existentialism, since it concerns itself only with existence of individual things and neglects all consideration of their immutable essences" (Encyclical Humani Generis, par. 6, 1950)

British Novus Ordo Cardinal Redefines "True Religion"

Schism brewing over Homosexuality?
See, we told you so! (here)

Be Honest:
If THIS is Catholic, then what in the world is THIS?

(the authorities of the Vatican II Church want you to believe that the first picture shows a Catholic altar of the "Great Renewal"--the second picture shows a "schismatic" altar! Which of these would Pope Pius XII recognize as a Catholic altar, and which as part of a Protestant-Anglican false religion?)

Turning up the Heat:
SSPX Priest reads Benedict XVI the Riot Act on Ecumenism

Touché! Of course, it's not like Benedict XVI doesn't know Catholic teaching on this point. Rather, he has taken pride in changing the necessity to convert into an option to convert.

WE HAVE BEEN WARNED:

"The coming of a world state is longed for, and confidently expected, by all the worst and most distorted elements. This state, based on the principles of absolute equality of men and a community of possessions, would banish all national loyalties. In it no acknowledgement would be made of the authority of a father over his children, or of God over human society. If these ideas are put into practice, there will inevitably follow a reign of unheard-of terror" --Pope Benedict XV, Motu Proprio Bonum Sane, 1920
Contrast that with "Pope" John XXIII, who received praise from the Freemasons, and who was accused of being one himself:
"Today the universal common good presents us with problems which are world-wide in their dimensions; problems, therefore, which cannot be solved except by a public authority with power, organization and means co-extensive with these problems, and with a world-wide sphere of activity. Consequently the moral order itself demands the establishment of some such general form of public authority" --Pacem in Terris, par. 137, 1963

"No Rupture with the Past" Update:
From "Going to Confession" to "Celebrating Reconciliation"

Yeah, make that a "positive experience" when you "talk to the priest"! No doubt that's why everyone in the Novus Ordo receives "Communion" today, but hardly anyone wants to be "rejuvenated" in that "Reconciliation Room"! The New Confession is obviously meant to destroy people's idea of the seriousness of sin, the offense caused against God, and the need for penance... What better way to teach Protestantism?? This revolution that has occurred since Vatican II is no accident. It can only be reasonably explained as part of a conspiracy, a deliberate attempt to change the Faith by changing the way people worship. Oh, so you think such a conspiracy is nutty and not based on facts? The Popes disagree!

Benedict XVI: John Paul II an Intercessor in Heaven
If no one goes to hell, that seems to follow, doesn't it? Perhaps John Paul II is interceding together with Bro. Roger Schutz, the Protestant heretic whom Benedict XVI has also declared to be in Heaven? Yes, no doubt, John Paul II had a "shining attitude towards prayer," especially at Assisi! Note: Did Benedict really say "kicked the bucket"? Hard to believe, but that's what the article reports...

Another "Condom Cardinal"

Vatican confirms again:
Some Sacraments CAN be received by Non-Catholics

As we have said over and over again, this is nothing new, it comes straight from Vatican II: "the sacraments of Penance, Holy Eucharist, and the anointing of sick may be conferred on eastern Christians who in good faith are separated from the Catholic Church, if they make the request of their own accord and are properly disposed" (Orientalium Ecclesiarum, par. 27, 1964)
Reality Check: Giving Sacraments to Non-Catholics is intrinsically evil
"Whether when material schismatics at the point of death, in good faith seek either absolution or extreme unction, these sacraments can be conferred on them without their renouncing errors? --Reply: In the negative, but that it be required that they reject errors as best they can, and make a profession of faith" (Holy Office, May 17, 1916; Denz. 2181a)
"It is forbidden that the Sacraments of the Church be ministered to heretics and schismatics, even if they ask for them and are in good faith, unless beforehand, rejecting their errors, they are reconciled with the Church" (Canon 731 §2, 1917 Code of Canon Law)

Reply: In the negative." --PBC, 1909 (Denz. 2121)
And further: "all are bound by the duty of conscience to submit to the decisions of the Pontifical Biblical Commission" (St. Pius X, Praestantia Scripturae, 1907 (Denz. 2113).
Also: "If anyone does not confess that the world and all things which are contained in it, both spiritual and corporal, as regards their whole substance, have been created by God from nothing, let him be anathema." --Vatican I, 1870 (Denz. 1805)

Awww: "Bishop" Clark on Gays in the Seminary and Priesthood
See how homosexuality is considered simply to be an "orientation" apparently on the same level with hetero-sexuality, when in fact homosexuality is unnatural and intrinsically perverted--it is not an "aspect of their personal reality"--anymore than an "orientation" to commit bestiality, rape, or incest could be part of a "personal reality."

Still seeking Peace without Christ:
Benedict XVI lists 2 Ingredients for Peace
Reality Check: Pope Pius XI knew exactly what is needed for peace:
"We remember saying that these manifold evils in the world were due to the fact that the majority of men had thrust Jesus Christ and his holy law out of their lives; that these had no place either in private affairs or in politics: and we said further, that as long as individuals and states refused to submit to the rule of our Savior, there would be no really hopeful prospect of a lasting peace among nations. Men must look for the peace of Christ in the Kingdom of Christ; and that We promised to do as far as lay in Our power. In the Kingdom of Christ, that is, it seemed to Us that peace could not be more effectually restored nor fixed upon a firmer basis than through the restoration of the Empire of Our Lord. We were led in the meantime to indulge the hope of a brighter future at the sight of a more widespread and keener interest evinced in Christ and his Church, the one Source of Salvation, a sign that men who had formerly spurned the rule of our Redeemer and had exiled themselves from his kingdom were preparing, and even hastening, to return to the duty of obedience." --Encyclical Quas Primas, par. 1, 1925

Reality Check:
"I believe in ... the resurrection of the body" --Apostles' Creed
"all ...will rise with their bodies which they now bear" --Fourth Lateran Council, 1215 (Denzinger 428)
"Man will rise again at the most perfect stage of nature. Now human nature is at the most perfect stage in the age of youth. Therefore all will rise again of that age" --St. Thomas Aquinas, Summa Theologica, III-Suppl., q. 81, a. 1
"The dead will rise again with the same bodies as they had on earth. (De fide.)" --Fr. Ludwig Ott, Fundamentals of Catholic Dogma, p. 490

How much longer will people think Benedict XVI is actually a Catholic?

What St. Pius X didn't know:
The Catholic Church has Apostate-Jewish Roots!

...As though today's Judaism were the Old Covenant! Do not confuse the religion of Abraham and Moses with that of Annas and Caiphas!
Reality Check: "Jesus saith them: If you be the children of Abraham, do the works of Abraham... If God were your Father, you would indeed love me... You are of your father the devil... He that is of God heareth the words of God. Therefore you hear them not, because you are not of God." (from the very un-ecumenical Gospel of St. John, Chapter 8)

Oh, no! Perhaps they "found" something the Church hadn't found yet!
"The International Lutheran Roman-Catholic Commission on Unity will soon complete its fourth phase of dialogue and publish its findings [sic] in a document on the Apostolicity of the Church..."

Lawyer discovers a "Right to be Wrong"
(New Church '65 obviously agrees with him)

Reality Check: Error, which in and of itself can never have any rights, can only sometimes be tolerated for the sake of a greater good; but there can be no right to error (see illustration here)
Pope Pius IX condemned "that erroneous opinion, most fatal in its effects on the Catholic Church and the salvation of souls, called by Our Predecessor, Gregory XVI, an 'insanity,' viz., that 'liberty of conscience and worship is each man's personal right, which ought to be legally proclaimed and asserted in every rightly constituted society; and that a right resides in the citizens to an absolute liberty, which should be restrained by no authority whether ecclesiastical or civil, whereby they may be able openly and publicly to manifest and declare any of their ideas whatever, either by word of mouth, by the press, or in any other way'" --Encyclical Quanta Cura, par. 3, 1864

Responding to Ferrara's Second Installment:
Part 4 of Response to Chris Ferrara on Sedevacantism

This can't be serious!
Vatican Preacher:
"When commenting on the parable of the 10 virgins, we do not want to emphasize so much what differentiates the young maidens (five are wise, and five are foolish), as what unites them: All are going out to meet the bridegroom."

Yes, and the five foolish ones are rejected by Him: "But [the Lord Jesus] answering said: Amen I say to you, I know you not. Watch ye therefore, because you know not the day nor the hour" (Matthew 25:12-13). The whole point of this parabale is the difference between the wise and the foolish virgins! This illustrates once more that the Vatican has a bunch of pertinacious enemies of the Faith, not simply some "innocently misled" souls!

Put on your Surprise Face:
Benedict XVI more Liberal than Expected
Novus Ordo Watch's position (which may be wrong, of course) is that Benedict is thoroughly liberal, and he will express that liberalism especially when it comes to ecumenism, but he will attempt to seem conservative when it comes to homosexuality, contraception, the Mass, "allowing" Traditionalism, and related issues. Amazing how times change, isn't it? Until 1958, it was heresy, 7 years later it was a "phenomenon" that still needs to be classified! Does anyone seriously believe this joker is the Pope of the Catholic Church??
Reality Check: Pertinacity in Heresy
A thought: Is this a further step to reconcile all religions? If Protestantism isn't heresy, then Protestants aren't heretics. Hence "reconciling" Protestantism and Catholicism is no longer a real problem. There are then only some "differences" that need to be "discussed" and "overcome" with "unity in diversity." And you better believe that soon Benedict XVI will "discover" that Jews, Muslims, and Hindus, aren't pertinacious either! And--BINGO! We're all one big, happy family!
