A
Dilemma for the SSPX - something to think about:
If the SSPX reconciles with Rome, which
Church will they reconcile with? The Catholic Church or the
Novus Ordo Church?
If they say "the Catholic Church," they are admitting
that they were out of union with and at odds with the Catholic
Church for all these years. Yet, if they say "the Novus
Ordo Church," they are admitting that they are reconciling
with a False Church and a New Religion -- and why would they
do that?

The
Encyclical -- Levada chips in his two Cents
This is curious: The encyclical asserts, as do "Archbishop"
Levada and Vatican II, that love of God and love of neighbor
are one single commandment. But the Blessed Lord Jesus
Christ was clear that love of God is the first commandment
and is superior to love of neighbor, which is subordinate
to it: "Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with thy whole
heart and with thy whole soul and with thy whole mind. This
is the greatest and the first commandment. And the second
is like to this: Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself"
(Matthew 22:37-39). Thus, if there is ever a conflict between
loving God and loving neighbor, we must love God first and
be willing to offend the neighbor, or else we sin. Loving
God takes precedence over loving neighbor.

That's
it:
After
40 Years, we still haven't understood the Council!
How many more times do we have to be told about
a "correct interpretation"? What in the world have
Paul VI and John Paul II done since 1965 if not interpreted
the Council correctly? Does anyone honestly still believe
in this "renewal" stuff? Vatican II has brought
nothing but destruction and disaster to Catholics --under
the guise of "renewal" --not because some people
"misunderstood" it but because of what Paul VI and
John Paul II "authoritatively" did with it! But
let them put their money where their mouth is and let them
get concrete: Exactly who misunderstood the council?
Where did the misunderstanding come from? Who
appointed the bishops who supposedly got it all wrong? Why
were they left in charge? Where is the discrepancy
between the conciliar texts and what they were taken to mean
afterwards? Who changed the sacramental rites, the
structure of the Curia, and the universal disciplinary laws
"in accordance with" Vatican II? Who taught
the principles of Vatican II in countless and endless encyclicals?
Who engaged in "ecumenical" activities and
gestures ever since and because of Vatican II?

Novus
Ordo Priest confesses his Homosexuality
Is the time coming when every Novus Ordo Catholic
has to be afraid his priest might drop a bombshell at the
next mass? So, is the Gospel for everybody? Yes, for everybody.
And what is the Gospel? "Do penance: and be baptized
every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ, for the remission
of your sins" (Acts 2:38); "If any man will follow
me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow
me" (Mark 8:34); "In this we know that we love
the children of God: when we love God and keep his commandments.
For this is the charity of God: That we keep his commandments.
And his commandments are not heavy" (1 John 5:2-3); "Know
you not that the unjust shall not possess the kingdom of God?
Do not err: Neither fornicators nor idolaters nor adulterers:
nor the effeminate nor liers with mankind nor thieves
nor covetous nor drunkards nor railers nor extortioners shall
possess the kingdom of God" (1 Corinthians 6:9-10). The
Gospel is not about accepting sin but about being empowered,
through Christ's Redemption, to turn away from it,
live a holy life, and be saved.
"Papal"
Household Theologian mocks Limbo
What bogus theology! The
Holy Eucharist is a necessity of precept; baptism
for infants is a necessity of means (cf. St.
Thomas here)! Though it is true that God is not bound
by His own precepts (unless perhaps He has revealed that He
binds Himself to them), He is bound by His nature
not to admit to His presence those without sanctifying grace,
for those who have no share of His life in their souls cannot
dwell with Him, as God is entirely incompatible with what
is sinful! For infants, baptism is absolutely necessary for
salvation: "it [is] necessary to baptize children, that,
as in birth they incurred damnation through Adam so in a second
birth they might obtain salvation through Christ" (St.
Thomas Aquinas). See how, though acknowledging Limbo to
be a "doctrine" of the Church, Cantalamessa dismisses
it on the grounds that it is not "dogma" --yet gives
his own teaching also the status of "doctrine,"
simply because he wishes it to replace Limbo. Thus
a doctrine gets replaced by private, erroneous opinion!
Though it is true that Limbo itself is not a dogma,
it is a dogma that souls who die in original sin only
cannot attain eternal life: "The souls of those who die
in mortal sin or with original sin only ... immediately descend
to hell, yet to be punished with different punishments"
(Second Council of Lyons, 1274; Denzinger 464)
Further Reality Check:
"Those who claim that the children of the faithful dying
without sacramental baptism will not be saved, are stupid
and presumptuous in saying this. --Condemned

"No
Rupture with the Past" Update:
Benedict XVI: "These words of the
Lord Jesus infuse much confidence and hope! In particular,
they invite Christians to ask God together for that full unity
among them, for which Christ himself, with heartfelt insistence,
prayed to the Father during the Last Supper (cf. John 17:11,21,23).
We understand, therefore, the reason why it is so important
that we, Christians, invoke the gift of unity with persevering
constancy. If we do so with faith, we can be sure that our
request will be heard. We do not know when or how, as it is
not for us to know, but we must not doubt that one day we
will be 'one,'as Jesus and the Father are united in the Holy
Spirit. The prayer for unity is the soul of the ecumenical
movement, which, thanks be to God, advances throughout the
world.... God is love and only if we are converted to him
and accept his Word will we all be united in the one Mystical
Body of Christ." (Jan.
22, 2006)
Reality Check:
"And here it seems opportune to expound
and to refute a certain false opinion, on which this whole
question, as well as that complex movement by which non-Catholics
seek to bring about the union of the Christian churches depends.
For authors who favor this view are accustomed, times almost
without number, to bring forward these words of Christ: 'That
they all may be one.... And there shall be one fold and one
shepherd,' with this signification however: that Christ Jesus
merely expressed a desire and prayer, which still lacks its
fulfillment. ... They consider that this unity may indeed
be desired and that it may even be one day attained through
the instrumentality of wills directed to a common end, but
that meanwhile it can only be regarded as mere ideal. They
add that the Church in itself, or of its nature, is divided
into sections; that is to say, that it is made up of several
churches or distinct communities, which still remain separate,
and although having certain articles of doctrine in common,
nevertheless disagree concerning the remainder; that these
all enjoy the same rights.... Controversies therefore, they
say, and longstanding differences of opinion which keep asunder
till the present day the members of the Christian family,
must be entirely put aside, and from the remaining doctrines
a common form of faith drawn up and proposed for belief, and
in the profession of which all may not only know but feel
that they are brothers. The manifold churches or communities,
if united in some kind of universal federation, would then
be in a position to oppose strongly and with success the progress
of irreligion. ... they err and stray from the one fold of
Christ" --Pope Pius XI, Encyclical

Alert:
Benedict
XVI claims today's Jewish People have God's Favor
This is so obviously at odds with Catholic
dogma, it's incredible. The Old Covenant is over.
It has been superseded by the New Covenant of Christ: "Now
in saying a new, he hath made the former old. And that which
decayeth and groweth old is near its end" (Hebrews 8:13).
The torn veil signified the end of the Old Covenant: "And
behold the veil of the temple was rent in two from the top
even to the bottom: and the earth quaked and the rocks were
rent" (Matthew 27:51). In 33 AD God's favor was transferred
to the fulfillment of Judaism, the Catholic Church,
the "Israel of God" (Galatians 6:16). Further: "Almighty
and eternal God, who drivest not away from Thy mercy even
the faithless Jews: hear our prayers, which we offer for the
blindness of that people: that acknowledging the light of
Thy truth, which is Christ, they may be delivered from their
darkness." --Roman Catholic Liturgy for Good Friday,
Solemn Prayers for the conversion of Non-Catholics (Imprimatur
1953)
Reality Check:
"It must be held by faith that outside
the Apostolic Roman Church, no one can be saved; that this
is the only ark of salvation; that he who sall not have entered
therein will perish in the flood" (Pope Pius IX,
Allocution Singulari Quadem, 1854; Denzinger 1647)
--So much for God's favor....
Benedict's
Address to Chief Rabbi of Rome
Not a single word about Christ being necessary for salvation,
not one.
Instead,
Benedict XVI harps on how much he has in common with the Jewish
religion, as though salvation could be found in it. Benedict
has totally abandoned the Catholic faith. He has no charity
for Jews, or else he would preach Christ to them. St.
Paul was clear: "But we preach Christ crucified:
unto the Jews indeed a stumblingblock, and unto the Gentiles
foolishness: But unto them that are called, both Jews and
Greeks, Christ, the power of God and the wisdom of God"
(1 Corinthians 1:23-24). By contrast, Benedict even seems
to claim that, together with Catholics, the Jews are "grafted
onto" the "holy tree" of the "People of
God."
Reality Check:
"Thou wilt say then: The branches were
broken off that I might be grafted in. Well: because of
unbelief they were broken off. But thou standest by faith.
Be not highminded, but fear. For if God hath not spared
the natural branches, fear lest perhaps also he spare
not thee. See then the goodness and the severity of God: towards
them indeed that are fallen, the severity; but towards thee,
the goodness of God, if thou abide in goodness. Otherwise
thou also shalt be cut off" (Romans 11:19-22)

well. While Benedict can wear red and (eventually) flee Rome,
there's one thing he can't do: make himself a real Pope. So
beware, for they will try to convince every traditionalist
that Benedict really is the Pope. But Catholic teaching cannot
be overthrown: "If ever at any time it shall appear that
... the Roman Pontiff, prior to his promotion or his elevation
as Cardinal or Roman Pontiff, has deviated from the Catholic
Faith or fallen into some heresy: (i) the promotion or elevation,
even if it shall have been uncontested and by the unanimous

therefore in the true Christian community there is only one
Body, one Spirit, one Lord, and one Baptism, so there can
be only one faith. And therefore if a man refuse to hear

after a lapse of eighteen centuries the manners and customs
of the pagans, is signal folly and audacious impiety.
Neither is it less horrible nor more tolerable that they should
repudiate the benefits which Jesus Christ so mercifully obtained,
not only for individuals, but also for the family and for
civil society, benefits which, even according to the judgment
and testimony of enemies of Christianity, are very great.
In this insane and wicked endeavor we may almost see the
implacable hatred and spirit of revenge with which Satan himself
is inflamed against Jesus Christ. -- So also the studious
endeavor of the Freemasons to destroy the chief foundations
of justice and honesty, and to co-operate with those who would
wish, as if they were mere animals, to do what they please,
tends only to the ignominious and disgraceful ruin of the
human race" --Pope Leo XIII, Encyclical Humanum
Genus, par. 24, 1884
Does
Benedict XVI want a "Synthesis of ... Christianity and
the Religious Heritage of Humankind"?
Aside from that, does he consider Catholicism only something
that exists to serve man, society, and the family, or as an
institution by God whose doctrines are true and which is necessary
to be embraced by all who wish to be saved?
Just
what did they say?

Benedict
XVI identifies Threats to Peace:
Nihilism,
Terrorism, Fanatic Fundamentalism
Let's see. Catholics believe that religious
freedom is an insanity and wrong (Pope Gregory XVI), that
only Christ's Peace is authentic Peace (Pope Pius XI) and
therefore it cannot come from interreligious prayer events,
that ecumenism is wrong (Pope Pius XI), that there is no salvation
outside the Catholic Church (Popes Boniface VIII, Eugene IV,
etc.), that the separation of Church and State is a grave
error (Pope Pius IX), that the Church cannot be put in line
with modernity (Pope Pius IX), that there cannot be a multireligious
"civilization of love" based on "human dignity"
(Pope St. Pius X), that modernist heretics cannot be Popes
(Pope Paul IV), and that the Old Testament covenant is no
longer in force (St. Paul). How long do you think it will
take them to label this "fanatic fundamentalism"?

Here's another
way to distinguish the True Church from the New Church:
In ages past, it was: "Rome has spoken; the case is closed"
Now it is: "Rome has spoken; what did they say?"

nice:

Reality Check:
"But since the Church is such by divine
will and constitution, such it must uniformly remain to the
end of time. If it did not, then it would not have been founded
as perpetual, and the end set before it would have been limited
to some certain place and to some certain period of time;
both of which are contrary to the truth. The union consequently
of visible and invisible elements because it harmonizes with
the natural order and by God's will belongs to the very essence
of the Church, must necessarily remain so long as the Church
itself shall endure." --Pope Leo XIII, Encyclical
Satis Cognitum, par. 3, 1896
An
SSPX Update from Britain
It's somewhat humorous to see the SSPX insist that Rome must
become Catholic again while at the same time assuring us that
the Church has not defected and that Benedict XVI, far from
being a non-Catholic (though yet somehow the promoter and
defender of the New Conciliar Religion), is actually the Pope
of the Catholic Church.
