Excerpt from The Rite of Sodomy— Homosexuality and the Roman Catholic Church
"Remembering" Joseph Cardinal Bernardin
"Cardinal" Joseph Bernardin"This segment on Joseph Cardinal Bernardin was originally incorporated into the previous chapter on homosexual members of the American hierarchy. However, because of his extraordinary influence on AmChurch, I decided Cardinal Bernardin deserved a chapter all his own.

"To do real justice to Cardinal Bernardin and his entourage of clerical homosexuals and pederasts and ancillary hangers-on who made up the Chicago-Washington, D. C. Homosexual/Pederast Axis would require more than one full size book.

"This highly condensed summary of information on the role played by Bernardin in the building of the Homosexual Collective within AmChurch is intended to dispel the fiction that the late Cardinal Bernardin managed to fool all the people all the time."

From Catholic Family News' interview with Rite of Sodomy author Randy Engel
JV: In the spring of 2005 in the Diocese of Buffalo, Bishop Edward Kmiec permitted the “Gay Men’s Choir” to perform a concert at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. A few weeks later, on June 9-12, 2005, the same Bishop Kmiec permitted Canisius College, a Jesuit institution in Buffalo, to host “The Second Annual Gay, Lesbian, Bi-sexual, Transgender Conference for Jesuit Colleges and Universities.” I take it your book can help explain how something so outrageous could occur without drawing down the immediate wrath of the Vatican and of Bishop Kmiec’s brother bishops.

RE: Yes, and a great deal more. Of course, this type of open scandal has been going on for years. Don’t forget that the Windy City Gay Chorus sang at Cardinal Bernardin’s wake at Holy Name Cathedral in 1996. Kmiec has no worries. He is well protected by the Old Boys Club and the powerful apparatus of the USCCB. As for the Vatican, it has become part of the problem, indeed it is the problem, as the Catholic Church, by God’s design, is a hierarchical Church. The Homosexual Collective, as a tool of the New World Order, has declared war on the Catholic Church, but the Church starting at the top down cannot bring itself to acknowledge this simple fact of life, or should I say, of death.

"After our president stood to greet us, a priest approached the podium to give us a blessing. But instead of the traditional Catholic sacramental, 'In the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit,' the priest said only: 'Let us place ourselves in the presence of God.' In fact, in the entire two hour ceremony, the Sign of the Cross wasn’t made a single time...."

"Pope" Ratzinger and Darwin
"Benedict XVI will indeed be hosting a scholarly powwow this weekend at his summer residence at Castel Gandolfo, south of Rome, to debate evolution and creation. But don't expect the Catholic Church to start disputing Darwin's basic findings, which Pope John Paul II in 1996 called 'more than a hypothesis.' Moreover, advocates of the teaching in U.S. schools of intelligent design — which holds that nature is so complex that it must be God's doing — should not count on any imminent Holy See document or papal pronouncement to help boost their cause...."

Hindu “Mass” sparks violent altercation in Toronto churchyard
"Another abomination took place at the Our Father. Instead of reciting the prayer together as a congregation, the people were asked to sit down while the girls launched into another interpretive dance number. Most gestures were completely un-fathomable, with the exception of receiving bread and forgiving trespasses (a shove, hurt feelings, forgiveness, hugs all around). The musical accompaniment was a Hare Krishna chant! Father D’Sa intoned the words “Our Father” four times. The response each time was the mantra “Hare Krishna”; towards the end of the prayer, the mantra was repeated over and over. Krishna, the reincarnation of Vishnu, who represents the Absolute Lord, is said to have seduced 16,000 women, and a whole occult, erotic literature has been developed around this aspect of Krishna...."

Fallen-away Catholic: How the "Pope" turned me into an EvangelicalOne heretic's praise for another
"I thank God for his ecumenism, which gave me permission to explore the religion of Billy Graham—whom the pope, while he was still a cardinal, invited to preach in his pulpit in Krakow, against the annoyance of the Polish Catholic establishment, in a sign of things to come."

Pope John Paul II was the most influential voice for morality and peace in the world during the last 100 years. He was truly one of those rare individuals whose legacy will endure long after he has gone. In his own way, he saw himself as an evangelist, traveling far more than any other Pope to rally the faithful and call non-believers to commitment....  —Billy Graham, Presidential Prayer Requests for April 7, 2005

The (Anti-) Liturgical Movement: The Destruction of the Traditional Roman RiteThe Second Vatican Coouncil in session, where open attacks on the Mass occurred
"During the first session of the Second Vatican Council, in the debate on the Liturgy Constitution, Cardinal Alfredo Ottaviani asked: “Are these Fathers planning a revolution?” The Cardinal was old and partly blind. He spoke from the heart without a text about a subject which moved him deeply, and continued:

Are we seeking to stir up wonder, or perhaps scandal among the Christian people, by introducing changes in so venerable a rite, that has been approved for so many centuries and is now so familiar? The rite of Holy Mass should not be treated as if it were a piece of cloth to be refashioned according to the whim of each generation.

"So concerned was he at the revolutionary potential of the Constitution, and having no prepared text, the elderly Cardinal exceeded the ten-minute time limit for speeches. At a signal from Cardinal Alfrink, who was presiding at the session, a technician switched off the microphone, and Cardinal Ottaviani stumbled back to his seat in humiliation."

"Communism is Dead" update:
Subversive Vietnamese "bishop": OK for Novus Ordo youth to join Communists
"A Vietnamese bishop has told a gathering of 60,000 young people that they have the right to join the Communist Party provided their faith is not threatened.

"UCA News reports that Bishop Joseph Nguyen Chi Linh was responding to a question from a participant who asked whether religious freedom is respected in Vietnam and whether Catholics are allowed to join the Communist Party."

NOW Comments: This should come as no surprise, as the Vietnamese Communists approved his 2004 appointment by John Paul II. Now we can see why they did!

Reality Check: "See to it, Venerable Brethren, that the Faithful do not allow themselves to be deceived! Communism is intrinsically wrong, and no one who would save Christian civilization may collaborate with it in any undertaking whatsoever. Those who permit themselves to be deceived into lending their aid towards the triumph of Communism in their own country, will be the first to fall victims of their error. And the greater the antiquity and grandeur of the Christian civilization in the regions where Communism successfully penetrates, so much more devastating will be the hatred displayed by the godless (emphasis added)." Novus Ordo debauchery at Lourdes

"At Bar Angelus, a few hundred yards from the shrine, bare-chested men, and women wearing skimpy tops and crucifixes, swayed to the blaring music including Madonna's 'Like A Virgin' and 'Sympathy for the Devil' by the Rolling Stones. 'We come here to party after being reverential all day,' said Susan Clare, a 19-year-old student from south London....

"Later, as the bars continued to serve cocktails at £2.50 a time, revelers were seen running across the roofs of parked cars, indulging in mock fights and vomiting into gutters. It is these types of crime, along with minor acts of vandalism and 'lewd behavior' between amorous young Roman Catholics, that dominate the nightly reports of CRS [Compagnies Républicaines de Sécurité] officers.

"'Offenders from Britain are easy to spot because they usually all wear the same colored T-shirts and hats,' said one CRS officer. 'Last week a couple sneaked into the grounds of the Rose Basilica and became very amorous in a very holy place. It's not the kind of thing other pilgrims want to see.'"

Any use of that nation's Patroness to promote pseudo-Catholicism is an affront to God and His Mother.

An architect of false ecumenism at Vatican II and beyond
Benedict XVI mourns death of "Cardinal" Willebrands
"Cardinal" Johannes Willebrands"Benedict XVI sent two telegrams to express his sorrow over the death of Cardinal Johannes Willebrands, the retired president of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity. He was 96.

"The Holy Father sent the messages Aug. 2, the day the Dutch cardinal died, to Cardinal Walter Kasper, who succeeded Cardinal Willebrands in the Vatican dicastery, and to Cardinal Adrianus Johannes Simonis, who succeeded the late cardinal as archbishop of Utrecht.

"He contributed to develop and intensify dialogue between all the Churches and ecclesial communities," the Pope said in his message to Cardinal Kasper, adding that 'he served Christ humbly, responding to his prayer for unity.'"

Reality Check: Willebrands used perverted doctrine to advance false ecumenism (see Section II of linked essay for further context and documentation)
"'The change of est (Pius XII) to subsistit (Gaudium et Spes) took place for ecumenical reasons,' explains Fr. Mucci, S.J. in Civiltà Cattolica (December 5, 1988). And Fr. Louis Bouyer writes that thanks to the 'subsistit' introduced by the Council, one has sought to 'propose again the idea of the one Church, even if it is presently divided among the diverse Christian Churches, as if among many branches.' [NOW: This is nothing more than a reiteration of the false Anglican proposition condemned by the Church known as the
Branch Theory.] This idea was taken up again by John Paul II in Canterbury. Furthermore, Cardinal Willebrands, on May 5th and 8th of 1987, held some conferences in which he affirmed that the 'subsistit' supersedes and corrects the est of Pius XII. (emphasis added)"

This interview was conducted by the Swiss news agency, APIC. Klöckener said, 'The Catholic Church should not forget its engagement in favor of ecumenism, its steps toward the Churches of the Reformation.' 'It is not acceptable that a small, very special group, on the right side of the Catholic Church, block the dialogue of the Church as a whole,' he said."

A review of Orthodoxy by GK Chesterton
"It is Chesterton’s contention that, rather than stifling the individual, it is through orthodoxy that man is liberated to both accept and embrace the contradictions of this life for what they really are in all their wonder and horror. It is the heretic that is unable to rise to a level that would give him a perspective that would enable him to appreciate things as they actually are since the heretic is ultimately beholden unto these very forces of life. Chesterton muses, 'Thoroughly worldly people never understand even the world; they rely altogether on a few cynical maxims which are not true.'”

SSPX Bishop Richard WilliamsonMore illogical nonsense from the Society of St. Pius X
Rorate Cæli Interview: Bishop Williamson's latest attempt to explain away Benedict XVI's heresies as merely coming from a poor, sick mind

Bishop Richard Williamson: "Benedict XVI believes that Catholic 'truth' can evolve. For instance, very serious statements of Catholic truth that cannot change, like the Syllabus or Pascendi, he calls merely 'substantial anchorages' in Church doctrine, meaning that the Church could anchor there, and usefully anchored there for a while, but in modern times the Church needs new 'substantial anchorages' in doctrine. He cannot see that this anti-modern Catholic doctrine of his predecessors is of such a nature that it cannot change, and not even as Pope can he change it. His poor mind, however gifted, is sick with that modern – especially German – philosophy which unhooks the mind from its object, like cutting off lungs from oxygen."

Reality Check: What the bishop is saying here all flies squarely in the face of Catholic teaching. To begin with, Benedict's belief in evolving Church teaching isn't evidence of a sick mind, but a heretical one. In fact, Pope St. Pius X, namesake of the SSPX, declared in the 13th paragraph of his monumental encyclical Pascendi that such a notion is one of the damnable errors of the Modernists:  "Dogma is not only able, but ought to evolve and to be changed. This is strongly affirmed by the Modernists, and clearly flows from their principles." One will search in vain in the encyclical for anything—such as a pesky German philosophy—that excuses the Modernists for espousing such beliefs. In fact, in a subsequent decree, the same holy pontiff firmly commanded that

should anybody, which may God forbid, be so rash as to defend any one of the propositions, opinions or teachings condemned in these documents [Pascendi and its companion anti-Modernist syllabus, Lamentabili] he falls, ipso facto, under the censure contained under the chapter "Docentes" of the constitution "Apostolicae Sedis," which is the first among the excommunications latae sententiae, simply reserved to the Roman Pontiff.

  from Praestantia Scripturae

Now, Canon 2199 of the 1917 Code of Canon Law, which lists a seven causes that remove culpability [including real mental illness],  presupposes that a wrongdoer otherwise knows what he does isn't right and therefore is responsible for his act. By all ordinary means of human reckoning, given Fr. Joseph Ratzinger [a.k.a. "Pope" Benedict XVI] clearly had to have known [and continues to know] that the teaching of evolving dogma is in violation of the magisterium of the Catholic Church. He had to have known because the Church required him, at his 1951 ordination and periodically after that, to solemnly swear:

"I entirely reject the heretical misrepresentation that dogmas evolve and change from one meaning to another different from the one which the Church held previously...."

 from The Oath Against Modernism

Hence, there reasonably can be no excuse for Benedict XVI not to have known his obligations as a Catholic priest to forthrightly uphold the teachings of the Church, nor can his departures from orthodoxy be explained away as the products of an unhinged mind.

It's time for the leaders of the SSPX to quit engaging in flimsy sophistries about the situation in Rome, for such arguments are counterproductive in the fight to restore the Church and ultimately could lead to the demise of the Society itself.

Polish Church Leader: Death Penalty Not Christian

Imagine that, execution for murderers and child molesters!
Reality Check: "Another kind of lawful slaying belongs to the civil authorities, to whom is entrusted power of life and death, by the legal and judicious exercise of which they punish the guilty and protect the innocent. The just use of this power, far from involving the crime of murder, is an act of paramount obedience to this Commandment which prohibits murder. The end of the Commandment is the preservation and security of human life. Now the punishments inflicted by the civil authority, which is the legitimate avenger of crime, naturally tend to this end, since they give security to life by repressing outrage and violence. Hence these words of David: In the morning I put to death all the wicked of the land, that I might cut off all the workers of iniquity from the city of the Lord." --Catechism of the Council of Trent, 16th century (more here)

Benedict XVI caught in more Heresy:
"The Church also insists on the inalienable right of individuals to profess their own religious faith without hindrance, both publicly and privately, as well as the right of parents to have their children receive an education that complies with their values and beliefs without either explicit or implicit discrimination" (Address to Spanish Ambassador, May 20, 2006).

Oh yeah? Perhaps that's what his church insists on, but certainly not the Catholic Church, which teaches the exact opposite unequivocally:

"For you well know, venerable brethren, that at this time men are found not a few who, applying to civil society the impious and absurd principle of "naturalism," as they call it, dare to teach that "the best constitution of public society and (also) civil progress altogether require that human society be conducted and governed without regard being had to religion any more than if it did not exist; or, at least, without any distinction being made between the true religion and false ones." And, against the doctrine of Scripture, of the Church, and of the Holy Fathers, they do not hesitate to assert that "that is the best condition of civil society, in which no duty is recognized, as attached to the civil power, of restraining by enacted penalties, offenders against the Catholic religion, except so far as public peace may require." From which totally false idea of social government they do not fear to foster that erroneous opinion, most fatal in its effects on the Catholic Church and the salvation of souls, called by Our Predecessor, Gregory XVI, an "insanity," viz., that "liberty of conscience and worship is each man's personal right, which ought to be legally proclaimed and asserted in every rightly constituted society; and that a right resides in the citizens to an absolute liberty, which should be restrained by no authority whether ecclesiastical or civil, whereby they may be able openly and publicly to manifest and declare any of their ideas whatever, either by word of mouth, by the press, or in any other way." --Pope Pius IX, Encyclical Quanta Cura, par. 3, 1864

But is it any surprise that Fr. Ratzinger should boldly contradict this, given that he said one of the Vatican II texts is a "counter-syllabus" to Pope Pius IX's Syllabus of Errors, and given that he has informed us that many Catholic councils have just been a "waste of time" and that the "bastions of the Catholic Church" ought to be "razed"? It is clear that Benedict XVI is in heresy, and he knows it. He is an enemy of Christ and the Church, and every so often he lets it slip out in more obvious fashion.
