Two-and-a-half decades of her outrages don't faze them!
Madonna: Still a member of Novus Ordo church

For a brief time in August there was a great furor voiced over the antics of one Madonna Louise Ciccone. The notorious American pop singer, better known simply as Madonna,  staged her most controversial concert this summer, the "Confessions" tour, which, like other of her performances, featured a sleazy, irreverent use of Catholic symbolism. This time it was her staged crucifixion that drew the most condemnations.

The most significant criticism came from a source in the Vatican, when her tour hit Rome:

"Cardinal Ersilio Tonino, speaking with the approval of Pope Benedict XVI said: "'This time the limits have really been pushed too far. This concert is a blasphemous challenge to the faith and a profanation of the cross. She should be excommunicated.'" full article

Tough words towards someone raised Catholic, but people had to wonder just how seriously they were meant [even with the "papal" backing], especially when at the same time a billboard with the diva's larger-than-life image was to be seen draped on a wall of Milan's cathedral. And those in the know had to be far more skeptical still (despite this unsavory advertising campaign making international news, there was no word from Benedict condemning it and ordering the poster to come down--the joys of "collegiality"!). "In 2004, a Vatican group warned [here we cite the first linked article] that her latest religious belief 'Kabbalah,'  a mystical form of Judaism, was a potential threat to the Roman Catholic faithful. (Of related interest, Madonna's husband, film producer Guy Ritchie, has announced his intention to film a documentary about the Kabbalah's  Freemasonic connection, which he intends to base on the writings of arch-Mason Albert Pike).

Yet involving herself in Jewish occultism or staging a glitzy mockery of the crucifixion are only the latest of a long line of Madonna's public displays that have come and gone with little more than a peep from the Conciliar powers-that-be. Here's a short (and far from complete) list of Madonna outrages that didn't get her excommunicated from the Vatican II church (descriptions have been toned down):

  • 1984--During a performance of the already controversial song, "Like a Virgin," at the first annual MTV Video Music Awards, she shocks the audience with sexually provocative movements. The lyrics of "Dress You Up", another song from the same album, have sexual connotations.

  • 1988--Like a Prayer album is released. The video for the title song has the images of burning crosses and the singer having sex with a black Jesus. The video for the song "Express Yourself" is sado-masochistic, with Madonna chained to a bed. And in a third song from the album, "Act of Contrition," she cobbles together parts of the Lord's Prayer, Hail Mary and Act of Contrition" to which she adds a sacrilegious ending.

  • 1990--In the video for the song, "Vogue," she is very immodestly dressed and dances using moves popularized by homosexual men. The same year she releases an album of "greatest hits," irreverently entitled The Immaculate Collection and a new single, "Justify My Love," the video of which is banned by MTV for nudity and sexual perversion.

  • 1992--The coffee table-size photo book, Sex, is released and is notorious for its degeneracy. Also in the year, an album, Erotica, [with a typically outrageous video for the title track] and equally offensive film, Body of Evidence, further fan the fire of controversy.

  • 1993--Her "Girlie Show Tour" outrages people from Puerto Rico to Germany to Israel with what is described as a pornographic stage performance.

  • 1994--She is bleeped repeatedly on The Late Show with David Letterman, but continues to talk about lewd subjects.

  • 2004--At the MTV awards show she kisses singers Britney Spears and Christina Aguilera in a manner suggestive of lesbianism.

  • 2005--During Holy Week she and her husband attend a Jewish Purim party, where they drink and dance while dressed as a nun and pope.

If none of this got her excommunicated from the ranks of the Vatican II church, what will it take! And again note that the above is only the short list. These and the others are public scandals that cannot be absolved [that is if Novus Ordo "priests" could absolve] without he offending party making public denunciations of them. But far from denouncing them, by every appearance it seems that Madonna revels in them and continually sees if she can top them for shock value, especially if she can mock Christ and His Church while she's at it. Apparently, there is precious little that will get one excommunicated from the Novus Ordo church, unless it be to stand up for Tradition!

A good summing up...
The death of a Catholic seminary
"The difference in perspectives was well symbolized by our way of worship. To begin with, we were instructed upon entry to the seminary that we could not kneel at the consecration during Mass, nor could we kneel after receiving communion. This would 'break community.' We were told that standing was also a posture of reverence on par with kneeling, and that it was more in keeping with Vatican II's 'call to mission' of Social Justice - hence standing to be ready to 'go out' to enact this justice. Kneeling was considered a 'privatistic' worship disconnected from others. It also reflected a repressed piety, a spirituality of 'Ghetto Catholicism.' This was said to be incompatible with the theology of the Council, and the spirit of the liturgical reforms."

NOW Comments: This is an article from the May 1995 issue of The Homiletic & Pastoral Review and, hence, written from the mistaken view that such abominations experienced by the author were merely abuses originating from a misinterpretation of Vatican II and, perhaps, disobedience to "the Holy Father." Certainly the author's concerns are heartfelt, his orientation essentially Catholic and there are many points well-taken, but the inherent confusion of his position is seen in nonsensical expressions such as the oxymoron, "a Neo-Modernist Roman Catholic seminary." The bottom line is that seminary horror stories like this one have been heard around the world for decades and continue to be heard, which is proof positive the entire Novus Ordo establishment, all the way to Rome, is culpable for permitting and abetting such attacks on clerical vocations.

When is a conversion not a conversion?
Still more Novus Ordo confusion: The Roger Schutz fiasco
"Cardinal" Ratzinger gives communion to his Protestant friend, Roger Schutz"Le Monde reports that  Brother Roger (see link for his connection with John XXIII) was received into the Catholic Church in 1972 and confirmed by Bishop Raymond Séguy, who was then head of the Autun diocese in which the Taizé community is located.

"Le Monde cites historian Yves Chiron as the source of this revelation. Brother Roger kept his conversion secret, Chiron says, in order to avoid upsetting the ecumenical harmony of the Taizé community.

"Brother Alois, who succeeded Brother Roger as the leader of Taizé, told Le Monde that the report by Chiron was 'inexact.' He said that in 1972 his predecessor had received Communion in the Catholic Church for the first time, 'without a "conversion," which was not requested of him.' He explained that Brother Roger sought 'communion' with the Catholic Church, but avoided the term 'conversion,' because it would 'imply a break with his roots.'" [Emphasis added]

NOW Comments: The conversion cover story was the fourth such "explanation" that was advanced to justify the Protestant minister's receiving "communion" at the funeral of John Paul II (and, some maintain, also at Benedict XVI's installation "mass"): first, it was claimed that a "mistake" had been made; second, a Conciliar decree was invoked that allows for Protestants to receive in special cases, and, third, it was claimed that, as Schutz was a close friend of Paul VI, John Paul II and "Cardinal" Ratzinger, who gave him "communion."  All of these were found wanting, however, and were discarded by the spin doctors when they hit upon a "solution" they believed would satisfy most everyone: float the rumor that Brother Roger converted to the "Catholic Faith" and hence was entitled to participate in its "sacramental life." But that claim was also flawed, for if he converted, how was it that he continued as the Protestant head of Taizé for nearly two-and-a-half decades? Well, it was said to be kept secret to "avoid upsetting the ecumenical harmony" of his community (yet another suspect detail, since if the Taizé community was really ecumenical, it shouldn't have mattered if he was or wasn't "Catholic"). Then, the punch line: There was no conversion, merely an assent to the Creed as promulgated by the Vatican II church, but without any need to abjure his Protestant errors; "full communion" without conversion. So, ultimately, here is a typical Novus Ordo heresy: One can be in the Church, but, simultaneously, not of it!

Selectively excusing Modernism
"With the sole exception of the issue of clerical celibacy, which has been an issue for a few conciliarists over the past forty years, the list of 'reforms' that Pope Saint Pius X knew that the Modernists wanted to implement stands out as a prophetic warning as to the agenda that was formed by Modernist theologians in the years before the Second Vatican Council and became the fundamental basis for the whole ethos of conciliarism...."

"Father" Frank  Perkovich's homepage
"These old ethnic melodies are a joyous, inspiring worship service with the most unusual music and orchestration presented in a manner of dignity that enhances the solemnity of the Mass." (Oh, yeah, sure they do.)

And while we're at it, here's "Fr." Frank's book,  Dancing a polka to Heaven, a "Polka Mass" video from Detroit (more beer and brauts, please!) and a special John Paul II "Polka Mass" album (featuring everyone's favorite, the "Jesus Lord Polka").

An apt metaphor, indeed!
Aachen's graveyard church
St. Josef's Church has it all, including niches for cremated ashes, " the Night of Open Churches" and an advertising billboard on its outside walls. Other churches in the Aachen diocese, when they aren't being given to heretics, like the U.S.-based  Vineyard sect (warning: immodest photo), can be stark and furnished with bizarre images (scroll down the "graveyard" page for more photos). (Interestingly, Daniel Pilarczyk the notorious  "archbishop" of Cincinnati, Ohio, sold a church to the Vineyard, which now boasts that it rents out the sanctuary!)

NOW Comments:  Heinrich Mussinghoff, who perpetrated the Aachen giveaway, is the same Novus Ordo "bishop"  who impiously  declared at an "interfaith" meeting that "God is not a Catholic." (Also see "A bizarre new god"--scroll down to the third section). It is, of course, "Bishop" Mussinghoff himself who is not a Catholic and his outrageously heretical quote (what happened to the Church as the Mystical Body of Christ?), a view that "Cardinal" Cormac Murphy-O'Connor, the putative Archbishop of Westminster, has also stated  (and,  of the same opinion, "Archbishop" Vincent Nichols, another member of Britain's Conciliar hierarchy),  is very much in line with this passage from the Universal Universalist heretics, one from a council of "Independent Catholic" Community Churches and still another from a new age occultist, to cite a few examples of what is likely a very popular error.

Archdiocese of Adelaide: Vocations to the "priesthood" page

Background to the Revolution
"The spirit of Vatican II, jubilee optimism, and the Oath against Modernism"
"The implications are startling. Every single bishop, archbishop, and cardinal who participated in Vatican II and every single Vatican II peritus (expert advisor) who was also a priest, without exception, had taken, and presumably had not been absolved from the obligations [sic--as if anyone could be absolved from such a duty to uphold the Faith--NOW] of, the Oath Against Modernism mandated for all Catholic clergy by Saint Pius X in 1910 and not rescinded by the Vatican until 1967 [sic--while St. Pius X did allow that the oath could be rescinded at some future date, to do so in 1967, when Modernism had come fully out of the closet, could only be the product of insanity or treason, since ignorance must be ruled out--NOW].

"Every single participant in Vatican II was under an oath-bound obligation to God Almighty 'with due reverence [to] submit and adhere with [his] whole heart to the condemnations, declarations, and all the prescripts contained in the encyclical Pascendi and in the decree Lamentabili'. Seen in this light, Cardinal Ratzinger's statements are truly astonishing. How could the participants of Vatican II set out, intentionally, to 'correct', or to set up a 'countersyllabus' to, that to which they all, without exception, had sworn, 'with [their] whole heart,' to 'submit and adhere'? It is a puzzlement."

NOW Comments: This 2001 article comes from a now-defunct publication of conservative students at Catholic University of America and as such draws some weak conclusions based on its author's misguided adherence to John Paul II; nevertheless, we've linked to it because on the whole he makes some good points and has provided worthwhile documentation.

Mahatma GandhiIndian Novus Ordo "archbishop" hails Christ denier Gandhi
"While the US remembers the fifth anniversary of the 9/11 attacks, Indian Archbishop Oswald Gracias says the world can learn from Mahatma Gandhi as Indian Catholics celebrate the centenary day of Gandhi's 11 September 1906 launch of non-violent resistance against British rule in India."

Reality Check: The Hindu Gandhi's career is hardly something for a Catholic to celebrate, especially when one considers that his successful challenge to British rule permitted the re-ascendancy of the influence of the Brahmans and their evil caste system. However bad things were under the Anglican colonialism, the current situation is far worse and is exacerbated by false Catholics like Gracias, who congratulate the Indians in their plight instead of fight the wickedness of paganism. Moreover, Gandhi was educated in London and consciously rejected Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior; his "profound" religious thinking has been summarized as follows:

"...Gandhi’s view of the Christian mysteries was negative. 'God is conscience. He is even the atheism of the atheist...' and 'I do not regard God as a person,' [NOW--except perhaps an elephant-headed one!] he once wrote. In an address to Christian missionaries in 1925, Gandhi candidly admitted: 'It is more than I could believe that Jesus was the only incarnate Son of God and that only he who believed in him would have everlasting life' and 'My reason was not ready to believe that literally Jesus by his death and by his blood redeemed the sins of the world!' His outlook was that favored by many Hindu intellectuals; monistic pantheism, by which is meant the denial of philosophical distinctions such as body and soul, subject and object, matter and spirit, and, ultimately, Creator and creation.

Vatican approves new "traditionalist" institute
"The Vatican has established a new religious institute to accommodate priests and seminarians leaving the schismatic Society of St. Pius X, the I Media news agency report.

"The new group, the Good Shepherd community, will be located in Bordeaux. Members will be allowed to celebrate Mass using the traditional liturgy exclusively."

NOW Comments: Not too much to say, as this is merely a variation of the same deception perpetrated by John Paul with the creation of groups such as the Fraternity of St. Peter, Society of St. John Vianney and the disgraced (but now back in business) Society of St. John: The promise of an oasis of Tradition in the Modernist desert, with a considerable number of strings--no, make that ropes--attached (accept the "new mass," Vatican II, the Novus Ordo hierarchy, etc.). The so-called Good Shepherd community differs from the others primarily in its timing: the SSPX's Superior Bishop Fellay, his protestations of "no compromise" not withstanding, is seen by Benedict XVI and his lackeys as being ripe for the picking and the "new" group is positioned to make it more enticing for the SSPX leader to comfortably capitulate.

A new theology for a new religion

"Benedict XVI is an Hegelian who sees that the acceptance of truth is conditioned by time and circumstance, which is why his use of the word 'tradition' must not be permitted to fool those who are impressed with its frequent invocation. Exposing another Freemasonic deception
"In a May 23, 1958 pastoral letter, Pope Pius XII had warned the Catholic faithful of the coming great apostasy and identified the causes: 'the roots of modern apostasy lay in scientific atheism, dialectical materialism, rationalism, illuminism, laicism and Freemasonry which is the mother of them all.'

"The Church is not confused about the spiritual danger of freemasonry to Catholics and other Christians; but high level Masons would like Catholics and other Christians to be confused about Masonry."

NOW Comments: There are some very good responses here to a Mason's "attempt to discredit Randy Engel's writing on Cardinal Bernardin," but a spirited attempt to suggest that recent pronouncements by Modernist Rome are anything but lip service is certainly wrongheaded.

Pseudo-Franciscans promote false translations, private interpretation
Choosing and using a Bible: What Catholics should know
"Many Catholics in earlier decades also relied on an older edition of the Bible, the Douay-Rheims translation, based upon the Latin translation (the Vulgate) that at one time was the only official Catholic edition of the Bible. It, too, is out of date and the names of some of the Old Testament books may be confusing....

"You don't need to be afraid of misinterpreting the Bible if you remember that your interpretation is not necessarily the interpretation. This is especially good in a group setting: Sharing ideas about Bible passages is a wonderful way of studying the Bible, especially when you remain open to further guidance about your views. The ideal group would have a leader with some professional experience, or who has taken time to carefully learn and prepare a historical or scientific perspective." [The author, a Novus Ordo "priest," follows this section with a list of "reliable biblical translations are available....I'll note the Catholic edition where there is one."]

Wojtyla Gets a Third Eye:
John Paul II's Pilgrimage to India

by John K. Weiskittel

---A hard-hitting exposé of John Paul II's Praise of Hinduism in India in 1986---

"And what of the marks received by 'His Holiness'? The Tilac is defined as: 'A sectarian mark made on the forehead with unguents or mineral or vegetal colouring matter... These visible signs are believed by many to have protective powers.' Also known as Bindi, it is frequently worn by Indian women to signify their married state, but it has a broader significance, as a representation of the third eye, the highest 'mystical center' in man. Said to be 'situated between and slightly above the normal eyes,' there are 'occult powers often associated with it.'"

"In Hinduism, men contemplate the divine mystery and express it through an inexhaustible abundance of myths and through searching philosophical inquiry. They seek freedom from the anguish of our human condition either through ascetical practices or profound meditation or a flight to God with love and trust"
--"Second Vatican Council", Nostra Aetate, par. 2, 1965

Caution! This article has disturbing content because it gives an accurate portrayal of the Hindu Religion. This is a no-nonsense reality check for anyone who believes John Paul II to have been a true Pope of the Catholic Church. While some are stuck arguing that there is no heresy or apostasy because of some orthodox footnote or ambiguous comma splice in the official Novus Ordo documents, Weiskittel analyzes the big picture and leaves no question that John Paul II abandoned the Catholic religion whole and entire. He who has eyes to see, let him see! If you'd rather not be bothered by the disturbing facts presented in the article, please go here.
