cannot erase Vatican II with a stroke of the pen"
"The-not-too-subtle message of this revolution was, if the Mass, the thing
the Church held most sacred, could be monkeyed with, then it was open
season on doctrine, discipline, religious authority, religious vows,
church music, education, sexuality, marriage, and life itself. As the
Catholic Church sank into chaos, many Catholics jumped ship. A 1958 Gallup
poll found that in the United States 75 percent of Catholics went to Mass
every Sunday; today the number has dropped to 25 percent. By the way, on
any given Sunday in France, the bishops can count on seeing about five
percent of the population."
NOW Comments: This is an article about the reaction of French
bishops to the much-discussed plan from the Modernist Rome to "free up"
use of the Traditional Latin Mass in the Novus Ordo church (the bait being
used to draw the Society of St. Pius X to its demise). It's written by
Thomas Craughwell, a conservative member of the Conciliar Church,
who is raising the false distinction between the documents of the Second
Vatican Council and "the spirit of Vatican II," the latter being something
constantly invoked for decades by the more radical wing of the new church.
The trouble is, no matter how sincerely people like Craughwell believe
that the "real" Council has been hijacked by "spirit of Vatican II"
rebels, the fact remains that many of the very same bishops who approved
the conciliar documents, afterwards returned to their dioceses and began
implementing the destructive changes that are bemoaned in his article.
These are bishops who strayed from Catholic truth and whose successors
never returned to it. And, of course, Vatican II's wayward priests were
lead astray by young Modernist "experts," including the German
suit-and-tie priest, Fr. Joseph Ratzinger (shown above right with fellow
Modernist, Fr. Karl Rahner), who today poses (and very badly, at that) as
the "conservative pope."

Fulfilling the Council: Sacrosanctum Concilium and the
"One of the many false representations that have been made against the
Traditionalist movement,” writes Monsignor Ignacio Barreiro, 'is that it
is frontally opposed to the Second Vatican Council.' However, whether
intentionally or not, many parishes and communities are faithfully
fulfilling both the letter and the authentic spirit of Vatican II (if we
insist on using that much-abused phrase), perhaps even better than the
bulk of their Novus Ordo counterparts."

The Remnant : Interview with Bishop Bernard Fellay
"But fighting against people who really see the Second Vatican Council as
more important than Nicea, there is not much to do. And also for those who
have philosophical backgrounds that are so far removed from the
Scholastic, we cannot do much. I may say, it could be a dream. There could
be something tricky in these theological reflections."
NOW Comments: The essential problem with his
position is that he still sees as Catholic, people who are totally
Modernist and as long as he does so, he puts the souls of SSPX members
in harm's way by nudging the group slowly, but surely towards the
traditional side altar that the Novus Ordo has been keeping warm for him
in their pantheistic temple. It's as dangerously wrongheaded as someone

of the ‘Papal Caesar’ being mourned as a victim for the sacrifice, and
of an executed termination.
"A similar note was struck by Pierre Virion who wrote in Mystere

by the liturgy, ceremonial, ritual and regulations of the Roman Catholic

Benedict XVI revokes "sacred vessel" indult
"Some people might think, ‘Oh, well. Communion’s over, and we can just put
those aside.’ They have to be carefully purified. After they’ve been
purified, then they can be washed and taken care of for sanitary purposes
(by extraordinary ministers). But for the purpose of completing the
distribution of the Eucharist, those vessels need to be properly purified
by, in this case, as the Holy Father and the Congregation for Worship has
now determined, the priest or someone in sacred orders.”
NOW Comments: It's now forty years (and
counting) since the Vatican II storm swept through the Church and one of
the fruits is that people now need to be told that there is something
"sacred" about their Novus Ordo "happy meal." If it was really the true
Mass and real Catholics that were being discussed in the article, then it
would be preposterous to think any lay person wouldn't know that only a
priest or other cleric is permitted to purify sacred vessels. Benedict the
Modernist no doubt will be praised by some well-meaning, but credulous
types in the pseudo-Catholic church, for making what seems to them to be a
move towards Tradition, yet this is only the typical smoke-and-mirrors
that is standard operating procedure for the Conciliar "popes," one of
whom, let us not forget, was the one who issued the indult in the first
place! The bottom line is that if there are any real, validly consecrated
sacred vessels being used--really misused and abused--at Novus Ordo
"liturgies," then they are being used in false worship services anyway,
for even the most "reverent" of them is still not the true Mass.

From Catholic to Orthodox, from (nominal) Christian to Islam--religious
trends of the 21st Century
"It's no secret the U.S. Catholic Church is in a deep crisis. The numerous
sexual molestation scandals and the class action lawsuits that have
followed are draining diocesan treasuries dry. Many such dioceses are
selling off buildings like closed churches and schools and other real
estate properties they own. On top of that, the shortage of priests and
nuns in the U.S. mean more such closures are on the way. And because of
that shortage, the Church's institutions, its colleges, hospitals and
other charitable foundations, will become completely secularized within
the next 20 years. The whole infrastructure of the Church within the U.S.
could be almost gone by within that time period."

Benedict XVI's Modernist hope for New Year: Foundations of
"authentic integral humanism" be established
"At the beginning of the new year, I wish to extend prayerful good
wishes for peace to Governments, leaders of nations and all men and
women of good will. In a special way, I invoke peace upon all those
experiencing pain and suffering, those living under the threat of
violence and armed aggression, and those who await their human and
social emancipation, having had their dignity trampled upon. I invoke
peace upon children, who by their innocence enrich humanity with
goodness and hope, and by their sufferings compel us all to work for
justice and peace. Out of concern for children, especially those whose
future is compromised by exploitation and the malice of unscrupulous
adults, I wish on this World Day of Peace to encourage everyone to
reflect on the theme: The Human Person, the Heart of Peace. I am
convinced that respect for the person promotes peace and that, in
building peace, the foundations are laid for an authentic integral
humanism. In this way a serene future is prepared for coming
"Benedict does not believe in the Catholic Faith. He does not
believe that the Catholic Church was given a mission by her Divine
Bridegroom to seek the conversion of all men and of all nations to the
true Faith in order for there to be peace in souls and order within and
among nations....The contrast between Catholicism and conciliarism is
clear. Benedict's very blueprint for 'confronting' a secularized world
stands condemned as insanity by Pope Saint Pius X. If the words of this
great saint are not enough to convince people that conciliarism is an
counterfeit religion spawned by the Modernism he fought so bravely then
no more verbiage on this page is going to do so."
Condemned by Saint Pius X
"For the Modernist, however, man's salvation lies not in
conversion, not in being drawn upwards to God; but rather in
'fostering all that is truly human', so that through 'dialogue' and
mutual sharing of human experience we might evolve into the fullness of
human maturity which somehow is identified with Christ. In its extreme
form, such an attitude simply degenerates into full-blown pantheism (as
in the writings of Teilhard De Chardin). In more moderate forms, it
comes to us in the form of such movements as Christian Phenomenalism, or
the Integral Humanism of Jacques Maritain. The really disturbing and
seductive thing about the writings and teachings of Modernists is that
they offer an apparently acceptable fusion of orthodoxy and heresy. Pope
Pius X points out in Pascendi that in the same work by a
Modernist scholar one page can be found to be totally orthodox in
formulation, and the next heretical. One of the 'first principles' of
Thomistic Metaphysics - the 'Principle of the Excluded Middle' no longer
holds. A Truth can now both be and not be. Dogma or doctrine can be,
in the sense that it is a current formulation of the truth
understood by the evolving human consciousness. The same dogma or
doctrine can also not be, in the sense that we are evolving out
of it into a fuller understanding of reality and God. Truth is really a
dialectical process - from 'be' to 'not be' to 'new be' - from thesis,
to antithesis, to synthesis. This is why the Modernist can seem like
such a humane and loving fellow, and the traditional Catholic so rigid
and uncompassionate. The former can truly accept the position of the
latter. The Catholic however, can in no way accept the position of the
Modernist. In so doing, He would be denying the very Being of God, and
also the being of his own nature."
