Novus Ordo's Darwin
conference condemned in advance
Papal documents reject claims of evolution
"[T]he Teaching Authority of the Church does not forbid
that, in conformity with the present state of human sciences
and sacred theology, research and discussions, on the part
of men experienced in both fields, take place with regard to
the doctrine of evolution, in as far as it inquires into the
origin of the human body as coming from pre-existent and
living matter -- for the Catholic faith obliges us to hold
that souls are immediately created by God. However
this must be done in such a way that the reasons for both
opinions, that is, those favorable and those unfavorable to
evolution, be weighed and judged with the necessary
seriousness, moderation and measure, and provided
that all are prepared to submit to the judgment of the
Church, to whom Christ has given the mission of interpreting
authentically the Sacred Scriptures and of defending the
dogmas of faithful (emphasis added)."
NOW Comments:
It is of note that Benedict XVI's so-called "Creation
Conference" now going on at the Pontifical Academy in Rome
is being convened in direct opposition to the spirit of
discussion called for by Pius XII (here's a dialogue of
which Modernist Rome wants no part). This is so because no
one with views "unfavorable to evolution" was invited to the
conference. Rather, dissenters were forced to schedule a separate conference
at a different location. Here is yet another wake-up call
for those Catholics still laboring under the illusion that
"Pope" Ratzinger is really on the side of the angels.
NOW Comments:
Benedict XVI's unwavering loyalty to "Pope" Roncalli and his
robber council after the 40+ years of unrelenting disaster
it's visited upon Catholics ought to be proof enough that he
is someone who cannot be trusted. Never is there a word from
him condemning the false direction it took the Church, only
excuses about how it's been "misinterpreted." Neither has he
condemned the council's grave sins of omission that saw none
of the errors of our times denounced. How egregious was this
latter failure can be readily seen from the following quote,
taken from a priest's book anticipating the council by two
years:
"In its sessions, the
forthcoming Council will most probably turn its
attention to those points raised, but never completed,
at the Vatican Council (that is, Vatican I, the only
true council bearing that title―NOW).
It [Vatican II] can hardly avoid reviewing the
doctrinal errors condemned by the popes of this century―that
of Modernism, especially, which was so great a concern
for Pope St. Pius X as well as Pope Pius XII."
(emphasis added, Fr. John L. Murphy, The General
Councils of the Church, Milwaukee: Bruce Publishing
Co., 1960, 182)
What Fr. Murphy wrote echoed
the thoughts of many knowledgeable Catholics in those years.
Why did they expect this, rather than what they got? Simple.
It has been the consistent policy of Church councils down
through the ages to pronounce the definitive word against
the doctrinal errors of the time. Modernism, for one, needed
further condemnation because it was revived and flourished
after the death of Pius X. Errors like Communism, evolution
and secular humanism also were thriving pernicious errors
that wee putting millions of souls at risk, as well, yet
none of these were denounced in the documents of Vatican II.
These serious omissions, glaring ones, in fact, along
with the substantial changes to doctrine and worship being
proposed in the name of "ecumenism" and up-datedness, should
have been red flags the size of St. Peter's Square. How the
vast majority of Catholics were deceived into accepting such
proceedings with scarcely a whimper of protest is one of the
great mysteries of the 20th century. However, when someone
with the theological background of a Ratzinger not only
accepts it, but does everything in his power to convince
others that far from being something starkly at odds with
Catholic tradition, it is in fact a great gift from God,
then he reveals himself as an enemy of that very
Catholic tradition.
Church row escalates as 'priest'
denies divinity of Christ
"On the line for parishioners of St Mary's and several other
parishes in Queensland and NSW are fundamental church
doctrines such as who can celebrate Mass, whether Jesus
Christ was God, whether Mary had as many as six children,
the bodily Resurrection, and the need for sacramental
celebrations for same-sex marriages."
NOW Comments: Here's a heresy so blatant that it gives "Pope"
Ratzinger and members of his Modernist Rome ecclesial
establishment a great opportunity to do their best imitation
of concerned guardians of Catholic doctrine (all the while
renouncing none of their own errors, of course).
'Pope' may freeze Pius XII

"Pope Benedict on Thursday told Jewish leaders he was
"seriously considering" freezing the sainthood process of
his Nazi-era predecessor Pius XII until historical archives

THE RAMPOLLA AFFAIR
Did a
Freemason almost become Pope?
"Once a common fear, the specter of scheming
infiltrators in parishes (or even in the Vatican itself)
from the Lodge is now under attack as a leftover bit of
lunacy from the days when hucksters and hoaxers played
on the alleged gullibility and paranoia of the Vatican.
This even holds true in the case of one of the most
famous and forgotten stories involving the election of a
Pope: for when Pope Leo XIII died, it is said that a
Freemason was very nearly elected as his successor. This
older story was widely repeated in the decades following
the Second Vatican Council, but has lately been
increasingly dismissed as a false rumor and is enjoying
skeptical scrutiny. This article will examine whether or
not there are reliable historical evidences for
asserting that Cardinal Rampolla, who almost became
Pope, was actually a Freemason. The answer may astonish
even the most seasoned skeptic.
"Who was this mysterious Cardinal who was en route to
the Papacy? Cardinal
Mariano
Rampolla
del Tindaro (above
left, 1843-1913) was born on August 17, 1843 at
Polizzi in the Sicilian diocese of Cefali. Following his
studies in the Capranica College at Rome — and having
taken holy orders — he studied diplomacy at the College
of Ecclesiastical Nobles. In 1875, Father Rampolla was
appointed councilor to the papal nunciature at Madrid.
Two years later, Father Rampolla was recalled to Rome
and appointed secretary of the Propaganda for Eastern
Affairs and for Extraordinary Ecclesiastical Affairs. He
was subsequently consecrated titular Archbishop of
Heraclea in 1885; he re- turned to Madrid as papal
nuncio, but was shortly afterwards created Cardinal in
1887. On his return to Rome, he became secretary of
state for Pope Leo XIII, strident opponent of
Freemasonry. As Leo XIII’s secretary of state, Cardinal
Rampolla was looked upon by many as new to the Sacred
College and therefore, free from traditional
preconceptions — in the eyes of some, just the man to
carry out papal policy."

Benedict XVI ignores another Fatima
anniversary
"October 13 came and went, and
there was not a word from Benedict XVI on the Fatima
message. More than 200 Bishops of the world were in Rome for
the Bible Synod, which started October 5. What an opportune
moment it was to make the consecration of Russia. The topic
was not broached. On October 12, Cardinal Bertone spoke on
behalf of the Vatican about the need for Catholics to read
the Bible – not to pray the Rosary. (2) I suppose that
message is more acceptable to the Protestants. That same
day, the Pope asked for prayers to end the violence in
India, Iraq and the Congo before 40,000 faithful gathered in
St. Peter’s Square. (3) Another missed opportunity. He did
not even mention the Rosary or the Fatima message as the
solution Our Lady gave to attain world peace."

the most Catholic countries on earth? The land where the
faithful resisted the English Protestant invaders even to
martyrdom rather than relinquish so much as one iota of the
Church's teachings? The land even regarded by many as synonymous with Catholic.
Check, check and check.
The collapse of Catholic Ireland
is among the most astonishing examples of the harm wrought
to the Church by the Vatican II revolution, where Catholics
whose forebears would not yield the Faith to the tyrant's
sword, have gradually had that same Faith quietly taken from
them without so much as a whimper in the name of
updatededness, ecumenism and accommodation to the world.

Annihilate Islam' sign
"A Midland, Texas church is
taking some heat because of a controversial marquee sign
that some say goes way too far. The sign outside of St.
Michael's Chapel comes off pretty strong: 'Mary and her
Rosary, Annihilate Islam.'"

Official
Press Release
Evolution critics
to hold counter-conference against Vatican's pro-Darwin meet "A conference will be held on November 3, 2008, in La
Sapienza University’s Pathology Amphitheatre at the Umberto
Policlinico in Rome to coincide with that of the Pontifical
Academy of Sciences (PAS) from October 31 to November 3.
Both discuss the theory of evolution in the light of the
up-coming 2009 Darwinian year celebrations.
"Whereas the Pontifical Academy discusses data proposed for
evolution, scientists at the Sapienza conference will
present the scientific facts against the theory. The
participants claim to represent thousands of qualified
scientists who disagree with the popular view of evolution
but whose voices are damped down by the evolutionist
majority."
NOW Comments: Some good news for a change. It is supremely important to
bear in mind that the Sapienza conference is being
necessitated solely because the Pontifical Academy of that
renowned "friend of Tradition," Benedict XVI, is so
militantly pro-evolution that those with dissenting views
were "uninvited" to the conference.
Correction needing
correction Think again: 'The Catholic
Church is shrinking' "No. Whether it is the global shortage of priests, the empty
pews in former Catholic strongholds, or the slew of sex
abuse scandals, it might seem as though the modern Catholic
Church is in decline. In fact, the church is in the midst of
the greatest period of growth in its 2,000-year history. The
world’s Catholic population grew from 266 million in 1900 to
1.1 billion in 2000, an increase of 314 percent. By
comparison, the world population last century grew by 263
percent. The church didn’t just hitch a ride on the baby
boom; it successfully attracted new converts."
NOW Comments: This article, which appears in Foreign Policy
journal, may be right as to the figures since the year 1900,
but much of that growth was neutralized by the Second
Vatican Council and its call for Catholics to stop actively
seeking the conversion of non-Catholics, along with various
post-Conciliar phenomenon: The abandonment of the Faith by
many, a turning away from large Catholic families and the
major inroads made by Protestants in Latin American
countries.

"The late Pope John
Paul II was wounded in a 1982 knife attack a year after
an assassination attempt, but kept the injury secret, a
top aide to the pontiff has revealed in a new
documentary film.
"The attack occurred on May 12, 1982, when Juan
Fernandez Krohn (left, after being seized by "papal"

ceremony in the shrine of Fatima in Portugal."

'Big Tent Catholicism': Book
review of Being
Catholic Now "Throughout much of the book, Catholics of the 'progressive'
mold recall happy childhood memories of old-time
Catholicism, and then catalogue adult grievances regarding
the rigid, unfeeling nature of Church authorities and
orthodox morality. Still consumed with righteous anger, they
forget that such timeworn narratives have lost their power
to shock -- and, perhaps, even to inspire.
"'God minds when you're cruel, when you lie, when you
murder, and when you steal," explains actress and political
activist Susan Sarandon, whose faith-inspired vision of
social justice led to her starring role in the film Dead
Man Walking, a portrait of the celebrated opponent of
capital punishment Sr. Helen Prejean. 'But I don't think She
really cares if you get married or not or if you're gay,'
Sarandon continues. "A lot of these concepts are just
inventions to comfort people, threaten people, and
manipulate people.'"
NOW Comments: No original thought here, just the observation that the
above passage (and the book in general) demonstrates
exceedingly well a venerable Catholic truism:
Liberalism is a Sin.
"Benedict warned that 'nations
once rich in faith and vocations are losing their own
identity under the harmful and destructive influence of a
certain modern culture. 'There are those that, having
decided that "God is dead," declare themselves "god,"
believing themselves to be the only creator of their own
fate, the absolute owner of the world,' the German-born pope
said."

Russia to Her Immaculate Heart on one special day. If this

it is not done, the errors of Russia will spread through

In
the late 1940s Catholic author William Thomas Walsh visited
Sr. Lucy, one of the young three seers of Fatima, who by
then was grown and living as a professed nun. During his
visit, he asked a pointed question about what our Lady had
meant when she said that Russia would spread her errors.
“Does this mean, in your opinion," asked Walsh, "that
every country, without exception, will be overcome by
Communism? (emphasis added)” Sr. Lucy responded, “Yes.”
Walsh, wishing to be absolutely certain of the import of her
reply, asked further, “…and does that mean the United
States of America, too? (emphasis added)” Again, Sr.
Lucy declared, “Yes.” (cited,

Reflections
on a 50-year vacancy of the Apostolic See
"Fifty years
ago, around 3 am local time on October 9, 1958, His
Holiness, Pope Pius XII, drew his last breath in Rome.
At that time, most Catholics surely viewed this as
simply an ordinary death of yet another Pope, and though
lamentable, a new Pope would surely follow soon, and all
would be well.
"The last 50 years have proven beyond the
shadow of a doubt that such was not the case. At first,
everything seemed to go the usual way. The deceased Pope
received a solemn funeral, and a conclave to elect his
successor was scheduled for October 25."

'We
cannot forgive and forget...'
Rabbi denounces Pius XII at
Vatican gathering "The first Jew to address a Vatican synod told the gathering
that Jews cannot forgive and forget that some major
religious leaders during World War Two did not speak out
against the Holocaust. Rabbi Shear-Yashuv Cohen's words,
spoken in the presence of Pope Benedict, were a clear
reference to wartime Pope Pius XII, who many Jews say did
not do enough to help them. "
NOW Comments: The thought that a rabbi was allowed to pontificate on the
"failure" of Pope Pius XII at what ostensibly was a Catholic
synod was one of the low points of an
ecumenical get-together
that also included preaching by a heretic and a schismatic worship service. It is sad
to see Rabbi Cohen saying that the Jews cannot forgive, but
his comment does show the fundamental difference between his
religion and the one true Faith, which follows the teaching
of Christ that we must forgive our enemies.
What's truly absurd is the fact that Cohen was there
lecturing as a
scripture expert.

1983 that sedevacantism was schismatic.)"

claims about 60 percent of younger self-identified Catholics
say abortion should be legal in all or most cases, while 44
percent reportedly support same-sex marriage, a number which
rises to 64 percent when religious liberty protections are
emphasized."

one of the most blatant possible falsifications imaginable,
Paul VI insisted on falsifying the definition of the ancient
term 'Mystery of Faith' in the consecration of the wine in
his self-proclaimed 'New Mass,' issued in 1969. Unlike the
'all men' or, later, the 'all' mistranslation of 'pro
multis,' i.e., 'for many,' in the consecration of the wine
in the New Mass, which mistranslation was done only in the
vernacular version (i.e., English, Spanish, etc.) of the New
Mass, the 'mystery of Faith' falsification was done in the
Latin version of the New Mass as well."

even by Conciliar standards "A baptism at St Mary's Church, South Brisbane, that was
videoed and uploaded on YouTube, may be invalid,
commentators say. The Australian reports a recent baptism,
captured on video and dated September 21, has been posted on
the YouTube internet site. The clip shows resident priest Fr
Terry Fitzpatrick baptizing a young child with the words,
'We baptize you in the name of the creator, sustainer and
liberator of life,' adding 'who is also father, son and
spirit.' The priest then added: 'That's good, nice and cool'
and invited 'everyone to put water on him.'"
NOW Comments: Leave it to the Novus Ordo. The rite a patently invalid
attempt of the sacrament, but the new church commentators
could only speculate that the baptism might not be
valid.
