Modernist Rome, Bp. Richard
Williamson & the Holocaust
Jaw drop!
'Pope' praises new Russian schismatic
leader, invokes Holy Ghost to aid him
"I have learned with great joy the election
of Metropolitan Kirill as new Patriarch of Moscow and all
the Russias. I invoke upon him the light of the Holy Ghost
for a generous service to the Russian Orthodox Church,
trusting him to the special protection of the Mother of
God"
NOW Comments: These comments, though similar in many ways to many
expressions of false ecumenism that emanate from Modernist
Rome, are nevertheless remarkable for their directness. Here
Benedict XVI openly exalts "with great joy" over the
election of the leader of a false religion and asks God to
give him light
not
to convert, but to provide "generous service" to the
schismatic church. And to top it off, "Pope" Ratzinger has
the nerve to suggest that the Blessed Mother would want to
give her protection to the leader of a sect that began a
millennium ago and continues to this day as a direct rival
to the one true Church founded by her Divine Son. How
anyone in his or her right mind could for a moment accept
Benedict as Pope after such a boldfaced denial of the Faith
is astonishing, to say the least, as this constitutes one of
the most telling and unmistakable examples of his apostasy.

Quo
Vadis, SSPX? The Society of St. Pius X after the Lifting
of the “Excommunications” of 1988
"The current situation forces the SSPX to live up to its
confused ecclesiology. Are they, or are they not, in
union with Rome? Do they, or do they not, even want
to be in union with Rome? Ah, but which Rome? Is it
'Eternal Rome' or 'Neo-Modernist Rome,' as decried by
Abp. Marcel Lefebvre? Which dogmatic Catholic theology
manual allows anyone to make such a distinction to begin
with? No, this time the SSPX will have to stop the
ecclesiological nonsense, which is reminiscent of the
confused and heretical 'partial communion' ecclesiology
of Vatican II. The question will be quite
black-and-white: Will you, or will you not, submit to
Benedict XVI? The bizarre dances about just being in
union with the Catholic part of Benedict's brain will
have to stop. Affirming that Benedict XVI is a true
Pope, as the SSPX has always done, has its consequences,
after all, and these consequences the SSPX will now have
to live up to.…"

They're called crocodile tears
'Pope' expresses concern over
annulments
"The Holy Father focused his remarks on questions concerning
mental incapacity in causes of nullity of marriage, which
were raised by John Paul II in his addresses to the Roman
Rota of 1987 and 1998. John Paul II's words, he said, 'give
us the basic criteria, not only for studying the psychiatric
and psychological examinations, but also for the judicial
definition of the causes.'"
NOW Comments:
The explosion of annulments ('Catholic divorces') after
Vatican II has been such a scandal that on occasion Novus
Ordo 'Popes' have felt compelled to feign concern. There is
a very good reason that yearly figures for decrees of
nullity went from under 1000 worldwide prior to the advent
of the counterfeit church to a near-incomprehensible 50,000+
in the United States alone,
and this reason is that dubious new causes of nullity were
introduced (such as immaturity)―causes
that had no precedent in the history of the Church―that
made virtually any marriage a potential casualty. In
millions of cases since the end of the Council, perfectly
valid marriages have been declared null and families torn
asunder. Benedict, following the example of John Paul II,
each January voices concern over the annulment scandal, but
proceeds to do nothing whatsoever that would defend the
sacrament. No true Pope remotely concerned about the
salvation of souls would for a moment permit such a state of
affairs to continue, one that puts souls at risk in a
twofold manner: 1. Assists the breakup of spouses, who are
by the marital bond obliged to aid each other in the path to
eternal life, and 2. Divides the family in such a way that
the children, too, are at greater risk of damnation by being
raised in a needlessly broken home. (Granted, in some cases
there are situations that call for separation of spouses,
but that does not involve trauma of a permanent and
irreparable severing of marriage.) Again, the falsity of
Benedict's supposed concern, just like that of John Paul II,
is unmistakable by his utter lack of action. Let no one be
deceived by the rhetoric; this man is no friend of families.

Vatican orders review of women's religious
orders
"The
number of Catholic sisters in the U.S. declined from 173,865 in 1965 to
79,876 in 2000, according to Georgetown University’s Center for Applied
Research in the Apostolate. The average age of a member of a women’s
religious community was between 65 and 70 in 1999, the center says."
NOW Comments:
The abandonment/perversion of priestly and religious vocations is one of
the most persistent evil fruits of the Second Vatican Council, one of
its most indelible stains, yet Benedict XVI stubbornly maintains that
Vatican II is a gift from God. We expect this "review" of the
wreckage to be yet another opportunity for him to promote more of the
pseudo-Tradition that has been his stock in trade of late. Not that
Novus Ordo "nuns" are going to be ordered back into full-length habits
or anything like that, but some weak recommendations about how conciliar
"religious life" can be improved (that is, yet another "reform of the
reform"), along with Benedict trying to equate his "sisters" with the
great female religious of the past, are likely to come out of this. The
only way to restore legitimate religious life that has been decimated by
over forty years of "updatedness" is to
thoroughly reject the reforms,
not attempt to find ways for the "mutual enrichment" of old and new,
which is as impossible as mixing water with oil.

End of 'schism'?
Benedict XVI may lift 'excommunications' of four SSPX bishops
"In what appears to be an attempt to heal a 20-year schism
in the Catholic Church, Pope Benedict XVI is about to lift
the excommunications of four traditionalist “Lefebvre”
bishops, according to Italian media reports yesterday.
Whilst the Holy See would neither confirm nor deny the
reports, many Vatican commentators believe the pope has
already signed the pontifical decree cancelling the 1988
excommunications of four bishops from the Society of Saint
Pius X, the society founded in 1970 by the controversial,
traditionalist French archbishop Marcel Lefebvre who died in
1991."
NOW Comments: Given the renewed complaints by Jewish
leaders leaders this month over the Ratzinger revision of the
Good Friday prayer for the Jews, and especially given the
subsequent explosive news of Bishop Williamson's questioning the
historicity of the Holocaust, it's difficult to see this
happening at the moment. Indeed, some Jewish leaders have
already called on Benedict
not to 'rehabilitate' Williamson, and it's not out of the
question that this protest will fan out to the other SSPX
bishops, since some of its enemies already had accused the group
of anti-Semitism before his comments. Aside from the fallout
from the Williamson interview, it would surprise us a bit for
the "Pope" to sign a such a decree unilaterally, since certain
conditions have always been attached to such a move (their
acceptance of Vatican II, of changes in the liturgy, of
conciliar authority, of the outcome of recent conclaves, etc.).
So for Benedict to lift the "excommunications" in such a way
would represent a significant change in policy toward SSPX
leaders, but could it happen? Yes, possibly. Modernist Rome may
decide that as its hard-line approach hasn't worked, a shift in
tactics may be in order. Perhaps sensing a certain weakness in
the group's senior bishop, Bernard Fellay, it has concluded that
by simply lifting the "excommunications" with no questions
asked, the bishops may see this "magnanimous" move as reason to
let down their guard. They may decide that they can do more good
by being in "full communion" with the post-conciliar church. Yet
it's a calculated risk for Ratzinger, as there's no guarantee
that any of the bishops (including Fellay), sensing the
inevitable conditions will come later, will bite on the bait.
Their response may be: thanks but no thanks. It will be
fascinating to see how this plays out.
No condemnation yet (ever?) from Modernist Rome
Biden receives standing ovation after receiving communion at
'Mass'
“Two days before he became the next American Vice
President, Sen. Joe Biden attended John F. Kennedy's own Holy
Trinity Roman Catholic Church for Mass, where parishioners gave
the pro-abortion politician a standing ovation minutes after he
received communion."
Reality check:
"Woe to you that call evil good, and good evil: that put
darkness for light, and light for darkness: that put bitter for
sweet, and sweet for bitter."―Isaias
5:20
"The counterfeit church of
conciliarism has taken in recent decades to selling off churches and
schools and convents and other properties that belong to the patrimony
of the Catholic Church. The fact that such sales have been
undertaken speaks volumes about the fruitlessness of conciliarism."
