REFUTING THE ERRORS OF THE NOVUS ORDO

Error: Faith without charity is not true faith

Novus Ordo Error Stated

Catholic Rebuttal

[F]aith, if it is true, if it is real, becomes love, becomes charity, is expressed in charity. A faith without charity, without this fruit, would not be a true faith. It would be a dead faith.

―Benedict XVI
from General Audience of 26 November 2008

Canon 28.
If anyone says that with the loss of grace through sin faith is also lost with it, or that the faith which remains is not a true faith, though it is not a living one, or that he who has faith without charity is not a Christian, let him be anathema. (emphasis added).

Refuting the Errors of the Novus Ordo is dedicated to exposing the falsity of the post-Vatican II conciliar church by contrasting heretical and otherwise erroneous teachings of that sect with dogmatically orthodox teachings of the pre-Vatican II Roman Catholic Church. Sources will vary, so while some statements originate in official documents, others will be from drawn from noted theologians and other recognized leaders. In the case of Novus Ordo sources, those figures identified as "dissident" will also be included as long as they are still active members of that religion, because from the very fact of their membership it safely can be concluded that any position they hold is at the very least to be regarded as a permissible theological position within the framework of that sect.
