Novus Ordo No More!
Diocesan Priest Stands Up!

The following email letter reached Novus Ordo Watch:

Sunday, June 29, 2003
Father Stephen Zigrang stood in the pulpit at his Novus Ordo church in Channelview, TX and told his congregation that from this day forward there would be no more Novus Ordo activities in his parish! Needless to say this caused a great hubbub and as I understand there was an immediate split in the congregation about 60/40. Sixty percent were up in arms and were going to report him to the bishop and forty percent stood solidly behind him. Father Zigrang has been looking into the Society [of St. Pius X] for the past eighteen months, and when I last spoke with him a few weeks ago seemed to have finally made a commitment to go Traditional. Make no mistake, it is an agonizing decision for any priest to face. . . .
